A Texas woman recently filed a lawsuit against a nursing home for injuries suffered after she slipped and fell on a wet surface. According to the lawsuit, the woman was walking to a set of vending machines at her mother-in-law’s nursing home, when she slipped on a clear liquid on the hallway floor near the machines. The woman alleges the nursing home was negligent in failing to clear the liquid from the floor, and to warn others of the dangerous condition. She is seeking monetary damages for physical injuries including impairment, disfigurement and mental anguish.
