Family of Two Teenage Girl Seeks $46 Million Dollar Judgment
The family of teenage girls Jessica and Kelli Uhl, who were killed in a 2007 car accident, are seeking $46 million dollars in damages in a wrongful death lawsuit. Both girls were killed when an Illinois State Trooper crashed into the girls’ vehicle, traveling over 126 miles per hour. According to the lawsuit, the State Trooper was texting on his cellphone at the time of the accident. The family of the two girls filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the State Trooper and the state of Illinois, for the pain and suffering suffered after the horrific deaths of their girls. The attorney for the family claims the damages sought are justified due to the nature of the car crash, and the fact that the family lost both girls in the accident.
